Social Business

by Jason

So, times are changing. A topic I’ve been thinking about quite a lot recently, is social business.
Not necessarily socially biased (as far as business objectives and outcomes are concerned) but more of a less competitive, collaborative business model.
In other words, not looking at your competitors as someone who should be overcome at all costs – but someone who you can actually do business with.
You can help them, and they can help you.
Wouldn’t that be nice?
After all, no one has all the answers – all the time, or has the perfect combination of skills for every engagement.
There’s much more to come on this subject…

New Beginnings

by Jason

New Beginnings
2011 has been an interesting year so far.
Somewhat challenging to say the least.
A devastating earthquake & more recently the liquidation of a company I have worked part-time for since 2006.
However, out of adversity comes opportunity (apparently) so with that in mind, this is the perfect opportunity for me to take my business to the next level.
Exciting (if slightly nerve wracking) times ahead.
I may now be the owner of a whiteboard, but rest assured – a suit & tie isn’t next on the list.
Stay tuned…

Christchurch Earthquake Update

by Jason

UPDATE: Tuesday March 1 2011 at 7.00am
All services have now been restored to my place of work, so it’s business as usual. I’ll be contacting all clients who have open projects during the course of the day so we can form a plan of attack.

Well, what can I say.
Horrendous, devastating, tragic.
I’ve spent the past weekend working on canterburyearthquake.org.nz with a great team of people from Christchurch City Council & Environment Canterbury and have seen first hand the level of destruction in the CBD, but also the enormous and tireless commitment of those involved in getting Christchurch back up on it’s feet.
There are no words in the English language (or any other for that matter) that can begin to convey how much more horrific this event is for those who have lost friends and family.

  • Jason provided us with quick effective service, excellent communication, and if we had a problem it was either solved quickly or the information on how to do it ourselves was given with clear instructions. Matthew Walters
