It’s come to my attention…

That I’ve not blogged in an incredibly long time. Not much I can add to that, other than I have very little free time these days. If I’m not working, I’m thinking about work. If I’m lucky enough to be doing neither of the aforementioned then I may well be trying to get some exercise – something that’s been sorely lacking lately.

A few other things that have been keeping me from blogging are (in no apparent order)

New Beginnings

New Beginnings
2011 has been an interesting year so far.
Somewhat challenging to say the least.
A devastating earthquake & more recently the liquidation of a company I have worked part-time for since 2006.
However, out of adversity comes opportunity (apparently) so with that in mind, this is the perfect opportunity for me to take my business to the next level.
Exciting (if slightly nerve wracking) times ahead.
I may now be the owner of a whiteboard, but rest assured – a suit & tie isn’t next on the list.

Why you should hire a freelancer

In my experience I would suggest that the idea of hiring a freelancer for your next project is not given much thought, if any at all. After all, you want the experience, and quality that only an established company can provide, right?

Wrong! Well, in the most part.

I’m sure you’re looking for all these qualities and more, but the idea that only a company can provide them is a large misconception. Freelancers often provide above and beyond the traditional business model, because they don’t have the limitations that most companies are bound by.

You should hire a freelancer for your next project, and I’ll explain why.
