Ok, so I’m a web designer, and this is my website.
I’ve come to the conclusion I’m not spending a lot of quality time here (apart from my Twitter updates), but that’s a good thing.
Why?
It means I’m busy. Too busy building websites (and other things) for my employer. Too busy building websites as a contractor. This all adds up to the old ‘mechanics car’, or ‘builders house’, or ‘plumbers bathroom’ scenario.
Which of course translates to not wanting to work on something I work on all day (for other people) in what little spare time I have these days.
So, the best way to keep up to date with what’s happening with me from now on is probably Twitter. I can still find the time (occasionally) to post 140 character updates, and keep a life outside of the web.
No doubt I’ll find time sooner or later to post something relevant, or interesting, or (heaven forbid) humorous here – but don’t hold your breath. I have a lot of ‘spare time activities’ to catch up on before that happens.
Seriously, I have no idea how people like Paul Boag find the time to work, blog, tweet and audio boo – whilst still having family commitments. It is beyond me, and to be honest – there’s more to life.
