Finally, a worthy successor(?)

I’m on holiday! Apart from a Christmas break (that was far from enjoyable), a brief trip south last month for reasons I’d rather not repeat, ever – it’s been well over a year since my last break.
May 2007 to be precise – Melbourne, (Nine Inch Nails). What better excuse than that to visit my favourite city in Australasia?
This time Wanaka beckons. Biking, hiking, reading, sleeping, eating, drinking – sound like utter bliss?
It will be.
A week away from an LCD screen with a network connection, that’s bound to do my eyesight (& creativity) a world of good.
But there are positive benefits to a networked society. How else would I be able to view the first episode of True Blood merely days after it screening in the States? Who knows how long (if ever) before it gets released here in good old New Zealand.
A the end of the day it’s the little things that matter to me.
